Peripheral Devices Support |
Henry bought a new HP scanner home to scan his holiday pictures. As soon as he reached home, he plugged in the USB cable into his computer’s port, connected the plug with the power switch and turned his scanner’s power button ON. He somehow managed to install the software provided in the install CD on his system but couldn’t scan his pictures as every time he opened the software to scan, his computer read that there is a driver issue.

Before attaching any peripheral or external devices onto your computer, remember to check whether or not your system has the necessary drivers to support the device. Also, ensure that your operating system is updated as latest versions of operating systems support new devices launched in the market.
While installing a new hardware device, you may have faced issues such as conflict errors, faulty driver errors and so on. Conflict errors happen when the new device that your have installed conflicts with the functionality of the other devices. For example, if your video card is not properly installed, you will not be able to play your favorite movies in Media Player. Device driver errors are normally caused either when you do not have the device driver installed at all on your system or your device driver is damaged/corrupted/has bugs.
There are many peripherals that you may want to use. USBs, MP3 Players, printers, digital camera, web cams etc are a few devices that are now becoming a necessity for an average computer user. Proper installation and configuration of these devices and their drivers require expertise so that there are no hassles.
